How Do I? Q. How do I contribute a geography resource to GeoInteractive? Do I have to contribute? A. It is expected that all new users of the GeoInteractive website contribute a minimum of two resources to share with other teachers before they begin using the 1000+ free geography resources in the Contribution Section. This way the website continues to grow and everyone benefits from the fresh input of new resources. You can e-mail the resources either individually or together depending on file size. Click on the Contact Button for the e-mail address. Please supply your name and school so that I can acknowledge your contribution. Regular users feel able to continue contributing resources as a way of supporting the website. Q. How do I know what resources are suitable? Are my resources good enough to share? A. You can contribute almost any kind of geography resource that you have produced. Please do not scan images from textbooks to include in your resources. The most common resources are word documents and powerpoint presentations but you are welcome to contribute videos, podcasts, flash animations, photos (single or sets), etc. All contributions are welcomed and no judgements are made about the educational quality of the resources supplied - please use your own professional judgement. Q. How do I subscribe to the GeoInteractive website? A. A subscription to GeoInteractive consists of a single payment which varies according to the length of the subscription. The minimum amount of time is two terms and the maximum is five terms. The latter involves a saving of about £20. You can download a subscription form from here. If payment is included with the subscription form, the username and password are issued immediately. If a school is invoiced, the subscription begins from the time of payment. Note: It can take 4-6 weeks for local authorities and school finance offices to deal with invoices! When the subscription runs out, a reminder will be sent along with the option to subscribe again.
