This is a specialised search engine for geography teachers, geography students and anyone interested in all things geographical.

It is based on the Google Custom Search facility. Unlike the normal Google Search, this search engine will only look for web sites within a pre-determined set of useful geography-related sites. This means that you will get more practical suggestions and (in theory) less time is wasted going through web sites that have no real significance to geography.

Custom Geography Search

The number of web sites currently included in the search is around 500. This will increase over time. In due course, you will be able to check out the current list of web sites by downloading a file. (This is being prepared.)

If you have a suggestion for a web site that is not currently included but that you feel would be useful to geographers, then e-mail me with your suggestion and it can be added. Equally, if you come across a web site in your GeoSearch that you feel should not be included due to inappropriate content, inaccurate information, dead link, etc. then get in contact and it can be removed. The aim is to provide a high-quality, safe search environment for geographers, students and members of the public interested in all things geographical.

HAPPY GEOSEARCHING!
